Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health The Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health or ASMPH is the medical school of Ateneo de Manila University, a private, Roman Catholic university of the Society of Jesus in the Philippines. The school is located in the Don Eugenio López, Sr. Medical Complex in Ortigas Center, Pasig City, beside its partner hospital, The Medical City. Its current dean is Alfredo R.A. Bengzon. Vision The ASMPH as an institution seeks to be a leader in redefining health and how health is accessed and delivered in the country. As such, it will serve as a catalyst for systemic, systematic, and structural changes in the health sector by producing graduates who are physician-leaders. ASMPH will be at the frontline of the university’s efforts in contributing to nation-building, particularly in addressing the poverty challenge. In all of the above, the ASMPH is animated by the Jesuit, Catholic, and Filipino character of the Ateneo de Manila University. Mission The Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health seeks to form, educate, train, and field physician-leaders who will actively catalyze and take charge of the process of affecting and effecting systemic changes in society through the health sector.
